Denise Callanan has a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine where she studied as an Acupuncturist in Lansdowne College, Dublin.
Denise graduated in 2019 and began to build her own business and clientele. She offers cupping therapy along with acupuncture which together have very effective results on sports injuries with great pain relief and muscle relaxation.
Along with sports injuries, acupuncture can be very effective for migraines, tension headaches and general mental well-being. Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through a person’s skin at specific points on the body, to various depths.
The benefits of acupuncture are proven by numerous scientific studies that now name it as one of the most viable and effective alternative methods to use for well-being and healing.
Outside the world of performing acupuncture, Denise was a keen GAA player for many years with her local team in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Denise had the honour of being part of an Intermediate title winning team in 2016 as well as other championship and league honours. She also has a strong interest in horses and horse racing.
