Diarmuid Geraghty

Diarmuid MDC

Having spent over a decade working in education, both at home and
internationally, Diarmuid returned to study physiotherapy as a mature
student and graduated with honours from Fontys University of Applied
Sciences in the Netherlands. During his time studying, he further
developed his skills through additional courses and is trained in a wide
range of manual therapy techniques including trigger point dry
His studies also allowed him to gain experience across a range of areas
with HSE placements in cardio-respiratory and neurological wards and
primary care facilities. As well as using evidence-based manual therapy
techniques, Diarmuid has a strong interest in pain education and
exercise prescription and combines these modalities to provide his
clients with a comprehensive package of care. He places a strong
emphasis on shared-decision making, actively involving his clients in the
rehab process.
Diarmuid has spent time working with the Kildare minor hurlers and
was the physiotherapist for Killeshin GAA club in 2023. He is currently
the lead physiotherapist for the Laois Senior Football team.
Away from the clinic, you'll find Diarmuid running the roads of Carlow
town, in the gym or spending time with his wife and their little girl.
