Emmet graduated from Teesside University in 2021 with first class honours in BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. During his time at Teesside, he gained a wide array of skills particularly within total hip and knee replacement, respiratory rehabilitation, medical rehabilitation and chronic pain research.

Emmet’s areas of interest include biomechanics, sports physiotherapy and health promotion. He enjoys treating all musculoskeletal injuries and offers education, soft tissue massage, dry needling and exercise prescription in providing a comprehensive package of care. Outside of clinic, Emmet enjoys providing services to local sports teams. He has also worked with Kildare GAA providing services to the minor and u20 football and hurling squads whilst being lead Physiotherapist for the u20 hurling squad for the 2022 season.

Emmet places great emphasis on continuing professional development. This is reflective of his ongoing attendance of workshops and extra courses. Most notably, Emmet has developed close links with the highly regarded UPMC Concussion network. This has enabled Emmet to provide specialist concussion services to both athletes returning to play and the general population suffering from concussion and post-concussion symptoms.

Outside of clinic, Emmet is a keen sportsman. He played at all levels of soccer winning Kennedy Cup Trophy and Ulster Junior Cup honours. He currently plays Gaelic Football for Kill Shamrocks and Hurling for Cootehill. Most recently, he was a member of the Cavan Senior Hurling team that reached the 2021 Lory Meagher final
